This handout describes how to download R and install add-on packages, both from CRAN and
Bioconductor. It also documents how to "upgrade" R and packages.
Aims
Describe to a novice user how to install R and add-on packages in non-technical language.
Prerequisites
- Basic computer literacy (point-and-click interface)
Target audience
Graduates students/post docs/beginning faculty with an interest in learning R particularly for genomic data analysis. No experience with R or other programming languages are required.
