VIB Conferences http://tess.elixir-uk.org/content_providers/vib-conferences VIB is a life sciences research institute in Flanders, Belgium. More than 1470 scientists from over 66 countries perform basic research into the molecular foundations of life. The institute offers a program of international VIB conferences in various VIB research fields. From day one VIB has supported and sponsored scientific conferences to help VIB scientists network with their colleagues. In 2014 the VIB Conference Series was launched to further expand these activities and support them with a dedicated professional team. The aims of the conference series are: to showcase cutting edge research and exciting technological solutions presented by leading scientist in the life sciences fields to offer junior researchers the opportunity to present their work during poster sessions and learn from the world’s experts during the Meet the Expert sessions to establish opportunities for collaborations between scientists during an accompanying social program including lunches, conference dinners and receptions /system/content_providers/images/000/000/054/original/vib_conferences_series_rgb_pos.png?1538645378

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) http://tess.elixir-uk.org/content_providers/barcelona-supercomputing-center-bsc BSC is at the service of the international scientific communιty and of industry that requires HPC resources. Our multidisciplinary research team and our computational facilities –including MareNostrum– make BSC an international centre of excellence in e-Science. Since its establishment in 2005, BSC has developed an active role in fostering HPC in Spain and Europe as an essential tool for international competitiveness in science and engineering. The centre manages the Red Española de Supercomputación (RES), and is a hosting member of the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) initiative. We actively participate in the main European HPC initiatives, in close cooperation with other European supercomputing centres. With a total staff of more than 500 R&D experts and professionals, BSC has been successful in attracting talent, and our research focuses on four fields: Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences and Computer Applications in Science and Engineering. /system/content_providers/images/000/000/636/original/BSC-blue-large.jpg?1632400405
