EGA Submitter Portal Tutorial

The European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA) is a service for permanent and secure archiving and sharing of all types of personally identifiable genetic and phenotypic data resulting from biomedical research projects.

The EGA accepts only de-identified data with a DAC approved access plan. The accepted data types include raw data formats from the array-based and new sequencing platforms as well as phenotype files describing study samples. A range of tools is offered for the file and metadata upload. EgaCryptor and Crypt4GH to encrypt your data, FTP and Aspera to upload it, and the EGA Submitter Portal for the metadata submission.

About this tutorial

The Submitter Portal provides the tools to facilitate the metadata submission of human data to the European Genome-phenome Archive. The aim of this tutorial is to show how to use the new EGA Submitter Portal, that is soon to be released. The portal will include new features such as adding collaborators (similar to data brokering), the possibility to link your data to external repositories, and the "on-the-fly" encryption of your files, among others.
