Medical research relies heavily on experimentation. These experiments,  regardless whether executed in vitro or on animals or people, need to be designed properly to produce reliable results and to achieve their goals in the most efficient manner. This course explains the ground rules for valid and efficient experimental design. The design, (basic) data analysis and the result interpretation will be dealt with by studying realistic examples in biotech related medical research. The course is very hands-on and relies on R as design and analysis tool.

We welcome experimental design questions from the audience.
